hi Andrew,
sonically ur tunes are really tight man, i dont like ur drums, too clinical and single hitty.

ur pads, layers, notes are really wonderful however. I would love to layer some breaks over one of ur tunes.

the intro to Floating.. is PURE MAGIC. normally i skip intros but the audio quality of this really caught me.
and Red Drum.. wow what a tune. beautiful. but again.. for me the drums really bring them down.

but all in all.. i really dig ur vibe.

peace

Hey dude, thanks a bunch for the comments I really appreciate.. feed back I rarely get it.

But anyway, I have always been one who enjoys to reside in the realm of harmony and melody,, I have noticed my drums and rhythms have always been a bit dry. I would definately be down for you to grab any tracks that you find interesting and doing your own take on it.

If you do such a project make sure to send me a link...

I'll give your music a listen later, as well, after class.

Awesome dude, sounds great...

Any tips on how to create such rich drums?

this is for organic sounding breaks (if im writting say electro breaks its diff process)
{
never use sample packs (my rule tho not for everyone),
retempo/chop/reprogramme breaks from old funk tunes
layering and volume enveloping is key and should be a continuous process
seperating mids/highs/lows for frequency binning and articulation is also integral and also continuous
}

=D

Your textures are gorgeous! Resonating pleasantly in my sinuses.

My main criticism for you lies in the drums as well, but I don't think it has anything to do with them being one shots. ;)

Floating on the Sun, for example.
In this particular track it feels like your understanding of percussion and of the nature of bass is simply not as developed as your ambient/textural work.
I spend most of the track drifting into a rather relaxing and rich soundscape (which I must repeat is fantastic), and the drums+slap bass groove comes in without warning and disappears without developing, suddenly, abruptly, short-lived.

Following you on Soundcloud. Liking many of your sounds. :)
