What is Alphabasic?

Alphabasic is a nonprofit record label. Nonprofit means we don't have to worry about anything other than releasing the next thing we feel like releasing and getting our artists some bread for it.

Who is Alphabasic?

Alphabasic was started by Benn Jordan, Mark Hall, and Shawn Shackelford.
We now have lots of contributors.

Can I send demos to Alphabasic?

Sure. But please don't email us asking us what we thought of them.
And PLEASE do not send us mp3s in our email accounts.

Why don't you have a list and store that features your entire discography?

Because then there'd be no fun in finding it.

Alphamart:

Due to recent higher volumes than normal, Alphamart is now shipping orders on Mondays and Fridays of every week.
To keep shipping costs reasonable and international, we currently ship 1st Class with the U.S. Postal Service.
Most American orders arrive in 2-6 days. International orders may take up to 15 days for reasons out of our control.

I don't have a credit card. Can I send you a check?

Sorry, due to past problems we no longer take personal checks. If you email mark(AT)alphabasic.com (at=@ to keep spam crawlers away) with your problem we may be able to arrange another form of payment.

I live in Europe, is there a way I can recieve my order faster?

We currently ship all European orders by air, which takes an average of 7-10 days. Any delay beyond that is usually because customs is holding up the package.
If you can't wait it out, check out Suburban Trash, which distributes some of our products in Europe.

I had to pay duty on my package! Why?

We ship international orders as "gifts" and often put a much lower value on the customs forms to avoid this problem. If your government is still making you pay duty, then ask someone at your local post office how this can be avoided and let us know!

My package never came!

In the rare occasion that your package hasn't arrived after a couple weeks, there's a chance it was lost in the mail. Email mark(AT)alphabasic.com with your order number and problem, and we'll ship you another package with signed delivery confirmation. In the 5 years we've been doing business we've never forgotten to ship an order!
PLEASE do NOT post your complaint through ccnow.com before emailing us directly. Both you and Alphamart will be required to fill out tiring resolution forms and will be plagued by the e-tailer until we do.
